We met in tenth grade while living in Shanghai and have been best friends ever since! From giggling down the hallways to launching this brand, everything we do is rooted in a whole lot of heart.
Mia Handmade is completely self-funded, with no outside investment—so every decision comes from us, with you in mind. We produce in small batches of 100 pieces at a time, which allows us to grow sustainably and minimise waste.
Now, we could not be happier to be here, and this business and these products are our love children. We are more than grateful that you've taken interest in what we do, and our prayer is that we can provide you with a trusty and fun product to last a lifetime!

We couldn’t do what we do without the incredible artisans and small businesses that make up our community. It’s important to us that their work is honoured—and that you know exactly where your pieces comes from.
Our quilted accessories are sewn in an 8 person, family-owned factory in New Jersey, where artisans have been perfecting their craft for over 30 years. Their team is paid by the hour—not by the piece—so quality always comes first, and workers are treated fairly. We’re so proud to partner with them.
Beyond our factory, every detail is thoughtfully sourced from small businesses across the country. Our labels are crafted by a five-person team in Michigan, a business that began as a husband-and-wife duo. Our zippers come from Alicia, a one-woman operation in Colorado, who ensures every piece meets the highest standard.
